Anthony grew up in Sydney, and spent his school years coming to know Jesus and slowly figuring out what it meant to follow him. Fortunately, God is patient!

Anthony commenced university studying Medicine, but soon decided to pursue full time ministry. So it was a natural choice to study Mathematics to complete his degree... Well, it gave him the chance to work for two years in campus ministry while pretending to study.

Anthony was the Assistant Minister at Quakers Hill Anglican Church for three years before joining us at the start of 2009.

Anthony is married to Jude, who plays a vital role in their combined ministry. They have three children - Owen, Lucy and Sean - who live in one of the trees on the church property.

His desire is to serve the people of Shoalhaven Heads by faithfully preaching from the Scriptures, looking for ways to reach out into the local community, and challenging us all to live for God's kingdom.

Eric Bird is our Associate Minister.

Eric began his working life as an engineering draughtsman, and after nine years he joined the Christian Broadcasting Association, later to become 2CBA-FM in Sydney. After 12 years with CBA Eric entered Moore Theological College.

Eric was ordained in 1972 and spent two years as a curate at both Punchbowl/Beverly Hills North and St. Michael’s Cathedral in Wollongong. He then became Rector of St. John’s, Keiraville before taking up the challenge of what was then the New Housing Area of Minto. Those years at Minto were the most fulfilling of all the years in the ministry and led ultimately to “retirement” at Shoalhaven Heads and a ministry at St. Peter’s which has spanned more than 20 years.

Eric's ministry at St. Peter's includes occasional preaching, running the Friday Morning Bible Study Group, pastoral work, writing our weekly bulletin, and he hosts a weekly local radio show. We don't allow him any spare time.
